Unaware she's been bound from using magic, Frey leads a small, miserable life in the village where she's sent after the death of her mother. But a tiny spark starts a fury of changes and she finds herself running from everything she's ever known.

Hunted by council for practicing dark magic, she is certain she's been wrongfully accused. She flees, and is forced to rely on strangers for protection. But the farther she strays from home, the more her magic and forgotten memories return and she begins to suspect all is not as it seems.

    Absolutely loved the entire series!
  • Muddled and plotless

Don't bother. Immature characterization. Slow or nonexistent plot. Descriptions are meh.
  • Solid

Solid book. For fantasy it did a great job of steering away from most cliches’, I was actually wondering “what will happen next”, which is very rare in a fantasy novel. So yeah a solid fun light read suitable for a broad age range. Well done author.

  • Outstanding Book

It’s difficult to describe how amazing this book is. The end is the best part and is more than worth reading up to that part.
  • Ehhh

Too many unnecessary details and not enough details to explain what’s actually happening. Seems to skip scenes.
  • Entertaining

It was entertaining but some parts were cringe worthy. Especially the internal dialogue of the main character at least for the first half, as well as the exchanges between characters.
  • Splendid!

Very good book. Can’t wait to buy the others in the series!
  • Ok

I thought the book had the potential to be great but nothing was answered in this story at all. I understand “suspense” but too many unanswered questions
  • Captivating

The ending left me feeling a little lost, but it’s a good book. I would definitely recommend it.
