We understand, you’re busy. You’ve got stuff to do. Work. Home. Play.

The only way you’ll make it through all the things that you need to do is to organize them somehow. Maybe you’ve been making do with notebooks or sticky notes—and hoping they don’t fall into the world of lost things behind your desk. But hey! You’ve got this awesome Mac sitting in front of you. You use it every day.

The new OmniFocus 2 for Mac features everything you need to seriously get stuff done, and the OmniFocus 2 for Mac User Manual is your guide to navigating all of the shiny features in the new OmniFocus. This book provides a detailed overview of every nook and cranny of the app. You’ll discover what’s new in OmniFocus 2, what features are available in OmniFocus 2 Pro, and learn about updates like Perspectives, Forecast, Review, and extensions for the latest versions of macOS.

  • Yes Virginia, there is a TOC,

The table of contents is accessed from an icon on the book’s window menu bar. Click to select and jump directly to that place. It goes away when focus is put back on the book itself. Maybe a TOC nav pane would be nice. The manual is well written. Clean, concise, with very understandable explanations. Starting there, given iBook highlighting, notes, links to Omni support documents (web pages), and my creating OmniFocus events for later study I’d say this user manual is quite user friendly and eminently useful.
  • Great manual, need to make it more visible

OmniFocus Help file is not searchable. That’s a big problem! This ePub is, but it’s only referenced in the unsearchable Help file. Omni needs to make this a lot more visible. The quality of this document makes me much more comfortable with purchasing OmniFocus. It loses one star because it refers to OF 2.3 as most recent version; it needs to be updated for 2.4. Contrary to a recent review, there is a Table of Contents accessible through standard iBook interface.
  • Thank you omnigroup!

No TOC? No Index? Nonsense. “Oh, but you can just search for whatever you want!”. Really? Only if I can guess what word was used for it. Otherwise, I’m clueless as to where it might appear in the book. Just because we’ve liberated certain content from the tyranny of paper doesn’t mean we need to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Give me ALL the reasonably available search tools, not just the “modern” ones. Is that so hard?
  • not very helpful for beginners

I hate this manual. It doesn’t clearly explain how to create sub-projects or action groups—only that it is possible to do it. I can’t figure it out. The software is not intuitive. Why don’t you guys have an interactive tutorial instead of videos that are pitched at people who already know how to use the software?
  • Nicely designed, easy to read and understand

Helped me understand and get my OmniFocus under control. Looking forward to the iPad app catching up with this version of the desktop software since I mainly use the iPad app for my business. However, you need the desktop app to create perspectives, an amazing feature, and then it shows up in the iPad app. Would love to see more info and tips on using perspectives.
  • The perfect companion

A very good job made by the Omni Group folks. OmniFocus is the most powerful app to get things (well organized and) done. This book helps learn how to ride the horse soon and better.
  • Great manual

This is a very useful, thorough manual. The effort that went into explaining this manual shows, and for that you guys deserve my five stars. Keep up the great work, guys. Omnigroup FTW!
